GCBA Welcomes New Members

The GCBA welcomed the following attorneys as members of its assoication during its February 2015 business meeting:

Andrea R. Clattenburg, Esq. is a 2005 graduate of Batavia High School. She then attended Canisius College, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in music. After graduation, Andrea did an Americorp assignment for a year at Genesee Justice in Batavia.  Andrea graduated Magna Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley Law School this past May. While at Cooley, Andrea was an active member the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and president of the Italian Law Society. Andrea participated in the Elder Law clinic and Service to Soldiers program. She was also the recipient of the Leadership Achievement Award.  Andrea resides in Batavia and is currently employed as an Attorney Editor at Thomson Reuters. 

Lauren Fritz, Esq.  graduated magna cum laude from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Sociology. She graduated cum laude from Michigan State University College of Law. There, she served as an Articles Editor on the editorial board of the Michigan State Law Review. She also was a Student Clinician at the Michigan State Law Housing Clinic, on the editorial board of the Student Bar Association, and was the Events Coordinator of the Business Law Society.  She is currently an associate at Kenney Shelton Liptak Nowak LLP. The focus of her practice is insurance defense litigation though other representative areas include Workers’ Compensation, Debt Collection/ Asset recovery, Creditor’s Rights and Real Estate Litigation. She is very active in the community and is a member of the following: Erie County Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York, Western New York Chapter, Monroe County Bar Association (Young Lawyers Section and Jazz for Justice Committee), and the Greater Rochester Association for Women Attorneys (GRAWA). Lauren likes to travel, bake/cook, and read. She loves attending concerts and has a passion for music. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family and is always up for a new adventure.

Jennifer Nunnery, Esq. is a native of Genesee County. She served on active duty in the U.S. Army MP Corp deploying to Iraq twice. She graduated cum laude from SUNY Buffalo Law School where she earned multiple awards in Trial Advocacy and Moot Court. Ms. Nunnery is a solo practitioner serving western NY in the areas of criminal and family law.  Jennifer is a Board Member New York State Defender's Association and the Genesee Veterans Support Network.  Jennifer recently opened her own practice, “The Law Offices of Jennifer Nunnery.”   

Jake M. Whiting, Esq., of LeRoy, was admitted to practice law in New York State on January 14, 2015.  Jake passed the July 2014 New York State Bar Exam after graduating magna cum laude in May 2014 from Michigan State University College of Law.  Prior to law school, Jake worked three years at J.P. Morgan Chase in New York City, is a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Syracuse University and a 2004 graduate of LeRoy High School.  Jake will practice alongside his father and GCBA Member, Reid Whiting, Esq. with offices on West Main Street in LeRoy and Bank Street in Batavia.
